ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Application
for admission may be made at any time. To be admitted, all candidates are
required to complete the Applicant Registration/Evaluation Form and mail it with
a current resume. Requisite: High School Diploma or GED. DISCRIMINATION POLICY
The Christian Bible College and Seminary admits students of any race, national
or ethnic origin, color, sex, age, handicap, or religious preference in its
educational programs, activities, and employment as required by the Civil Rights
Act of 1964 and Amendments including Title IX of the Educational Amendments of
1972. The
Christian Bible College and Seminary complies with the Privacy Act for Students,
Statute 20 United States Code, Section 1232g and regulations adopted and
pursuant thereto. REGISTRATION AND EVALUATION FEES The
Registration/Student Evaluation fee is $50.00, non-refundable. This total
remittance of $50.00 may be paid by check or money order (payable to: CBCS).
Fees MUST accompany your application.
There will be a service charge of $30 on all returned checks. There are no
additional charges for: matriculation, life credits, diplomas/degrees,
transcripts, graduation fees, or any other "miscellaneous fees." TRANSFER CREDITS The
Christian Bible College and Seminary will accept all transfer academic credits
you have earned from other Theological schools.* The Faculty Review Board will
also evaluate credits from secular schools, and acknowledge career-based
life/work/ministry experience. You may have years of part time work in Christian
service which would be of credit value. *Note:
Your transcripts from schools attended do not have to accompany the application,
they may be requested in writing (Federal Law) to be mailed to the CBCS Registrar. EVALUATION FOR LIFE EXPERIENCE CREDITS: Traditional
colleges and Accrediting Agencies have established the following guidelines for
the maximum credit received for life/work/ministry:
There is
no charge for transfer credits to CBCS. Certificates, diplomas, grades, CEU
credits and U.S. Military Service are also given consideration. Theological Theses or Doctoral Dissertations - published or
unpublished - will be considered. One may have more academic/life experience
credits than the minimum required - many applicants do. It is the policy of CBCS
(and Missouri Educational Statutes) that the student must satisfactorily
complete a minimum of one semester (15 credits) to earn the desired degree. The Faculty Review Board will carefully evaluate your
application, you will promptly receive a competent, qualified evaluation report. GENERAL INFORMATION The
Christian Bible College and Seminary offers only Faculty
Directed Independent Home Study (no campus requirements). The policies below apply to all programs: The "open book" method of instruction and test/exams are applied. All courses are valued at five credits each unless stated differently. There are no final examinations. Also, there are no core courses with the exception of three Counseling programs: 1. Bachelor of Biblical Counseling, 2. Master of (Divinity, Theology or Ministry) in Christian Counseling, and 3. Doctor of (Divinity, Theology or Ministry) in Christian Counseling.
